Vision
We envision a world in which quantitative ultrasound is routinely used to assess the broadest possible range of diseases, in order to improve non-invasive patient diagnosis, enhance patient safety, and optimize patient care.
Mission
Our mission is to improve ultrasound through:
- The translation of new ultrasound technologies from the workbench into clinical routine.
- The validation and exchange of imaging and quantitative analysis techniques between ultrasound and other imaging modalities, such as magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and optoacoustics.
- Knowledge transfer between medical and non-medical fields.
Aims
We aim to implement novel ultrasound imaging regimes, develop quantitative imaging biomarkers for tissue differentiation, improve the reproducibility of quantitative ultrasound measurements, and validate quantitative ultrasound measurements using multi-modality imaging approaches.
Team
We are a highly interdisciplinary group of clinicians, scientists, and engineers, with a broad range of experience in both experimental and theoretical research in the medical field. We work in close collaboration with clinics, technical universities and industry, both within Switzerland and abroad.
Values
Our work is guided every day by our drive to improve medical technology for patients. As a group, we value integrity, authenticity, and diversity, and we are passionate about bridging the gap between academic research and clinical implementation.
